Connecting Generation to Demand

JSW Energy strengthens India’s energy security through an integrated platform of power trading and transmission, enabling efficient electricity flow from generation assets to demand centres while supporting grid stability, reliability, and competitive market access.
Power Trading
JSW Energy strengthens its integrated power platform through JSW Power Trading Company Limited (JSWPTC), enabling efficient electricity trading across India’s evolving power markets. Licensed by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, JSWPTC trades power from JSW Energy’s diversified generation portfolio as well as third-party producers.

With an active presence on leading exchanges, including the Indian Energy Exchange (IEX), Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL), and Hindustan Power Exchange (HPX), the platform facilitates short-term, medium-term, and surplus power transactions. By connecting generation assets with utilities, state electricity boards and large institutional consumers, JSW Energy enhances market access, optimises power realisation and supports a reliable electricity supply across demand centres.

Transmission
JSW Energy elevates grid connectivity through its transmission platform operated by Jaigad Power Transco Limited (JPTL), a joint venture with Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL). The network includes high-capacity 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting the Jaigad power plant to regional grid infrastructure. These assets enable reliable power evacuation, support renewable integration and strengthen transmission backbone capacity to meet growing electricity demand.
